Session Etiquette and Care Policies

We ask that you please read the following through fully and fill out our Care Policy Agreement Form before your first appointment to ensure mindfulness and mutual respect on these delicate matters. Thank you so much for your understanding and care.

Punctuality and 24 Hour Cancellation Policy

PHONE CONSULT APPOINTMENTS- Please have your intake form filled out at least 15 minutes before our phone consultation so that we can make best use of our time together. You will receive a call at your appointed time so please make sure you include your phone number when booking AND on your intake form.
If there is no answer we may try again once and, depending on availability, may be able to continue the call in the allotted time slot. Otherwise you will need to re-book online at yours and our convenience.
HANDS-ON APPOINTMENTS- Please be at the location 10 minutes early to stay in the allotted time. If you are a new client and haven’t already done so, there will be an online intake form to fill out… please do so before your first hands-on appointment to help us make best use of our time together. If you are late or completely miss your appointment, you will be charged for the full session or have it deducted from your Care Package. There is a 24 hour cancellation policy in effect- unless there is an emergency of course or if our Fertility Clients you have an unexpected change is your cycle. Please make changes no later than 24 hours before your appointment.

Getting on the Table

It is most common to remove all clothing and get underneath the table sheets. However, this is entirely unnecessary and we wish to respect our clients comfort levels along with our own. You will be asked to remove all clothing, except undergarments, which are to remain on. Our therapist are skilled professionals, who will always use proper draping techniques and effectively treat your issues in a respectful way.

Preparing for your Appointment

If possible please shower. Shaving legs or wearing make-up isn’t a necessity (make up will likely get messed up anyway). If you have a rash or open wound that’s not dressed please either dress the wound or reschedule. If you have recently had an injury in a particular area please let your therapist know right away. If you’ve had an injury, or post surgical issue and have an MRI that could be beneficial for your therapist prior to your massage, please bring it with you. As always please make sure you have doctor’s clearance for massage when recent serious injury or surgery is involved.

Communication with your Therapist

Communication is vital and both offered and requested from your therapist. Please let your therapist know about your preferred pressure levels and any pain that shows up as we work. Please know that you will not hurt our feelings in doing so… we welcome you taking ownership of your body as need be. Also please don’t feel the need to engage in conversation if that suits you. Many clients prefer the gift of silence while others get stress release through talking. Your therapist will mirror you appropriately and only check-in about pressure preferences or medical questions pertaining to the bodywork being done as needed.

Inappropriate Conduct

It is important that we create a safe space for both client and therapist and unfortunate that this must be stated: Inappropriate conduct or discussions taking place on behalf of the client in the massage session will not be tolerated. If this happens the session will immediately end and you will be liable for the full price of the session. Flirting, inappropriate touching, and sexual innuendos are included in this policy.

Tips

Gratuity is completely up to the client and while very much appreciated is in no way mandatory. Like in other service industries, providing a tip is usually done in response to excellent service. Most credible sources offer that the tipping norm for massage and bodywork services is 15-20 percent. If you are using a credit card to pay for your session, there will be an option to do this. Cash tips may be offered to the therapist directly, left in the massage room, or in an envelop at the front desk at your discretion.

Client Love!
